Durga Puja Remix in Kolkata – Kolkata’s largest festival has been re-imagined as a pop-up art installation in the city. This year, UNESCO, the British Council, and massArt are working together to get the pandal out of Bengal and into the rest of the world.
The nine-day festival is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. She is represented by an idol made from clay and delicately painted. The idols are then brought to the banks of the Ganges river, where they are immersed.
