Durga Puja
Durga Puja Remix in Kolkata – Kolkata’s largest festival has been re-imagined as a pop-up art installation in the city. This year, UNESCO, the British Council, and massArt are working together to get the pandal out of Bengal and into the rest of the world.
The nine-day festival is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. She is represented by an idol made from clay and delicately painted. The idols are then brought to the banks of the Ganges river, where they are immersed.
After being immersed, the idol is returned to its temple. It is decorated with glistening jewellery. A procession of devotees, dhak players, and dhak musicians accompany the Devi.
The final ceremony of the festival is the bisorjon of the Devi idol. At this time, water is sprinkled onto the devotees.
Mixing classical with electronic
The fusion of classical with electronic music has been around for a while, but there is a recent renaissance in the genre. A few notable names are Otto Lindholm, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Max Richter. They have combined classical and electronic music into a symphony of sorts, and thereby creating a new age of classical music.
This particular genre is not without its flaws. Firstly, there isn’t enough government support to make it a realistic option for the widest swath of the population. In addition, the’real’ music industry is largely confined to elite institutions, such as the aforementioned orchestras, and the conservatories. That said, there is more than one way to shake up a stringent classical education.
The best way to do it is to look for examples where the two can coexist, such as acoustic and digitized versions of a traditional orchestra. Of course, this also means that composers and musicians must be creative, and be willing to rethink the role of classical music in their lives.
A restaurant is offered
There are many restaurants that are available in the city of Kolkata. Some of them offer a new menu, the newest fad, or a signature drink. However, there are a few places in the city that will really impress you. If you are looking to enjoy a delicious dinner or a night of booze, you may want to check out the Hard Rock Hotel.
This hotel is located near the Kolkata airport and features a number of signature dishes. The menu includes the usual fare, like the burgers and the sandwiches, but you can also choose from a variety of flatbreads, paneer samosas, and chicken tikka. You can also try a few exotic dishes, including a few local vegetarian favorites.
